Union Council Functions

Acquisition and Services:

Second Schedule to the Local Government (Union Parishad) Act, 2009, 46 and 47 (short term) -

1) Manage daily administrative activities.

2) Always keep updated information on the notice board.

3) To supervise and control the activities of the council employees.

4) Meeting at the ward level.

5) Make regular monthly meetings.

6) Strengthening of permanent committees.

7) Tax assessments, collection of taxes and regular taxes.

8) Prepare annual budget and open budget.

9) To increase transparency, accountability and public involvement and public awareness in the activities of the Union.

10) Ensure participation of women in all the activities of the union.

11) Keep the income-expenditure of the Union Council transparent.

12) Provide various types of certificates.

13) Distribute various allowances and relief.

14) Registration of birth and death.
